Code of conduct

SM was founded on a handshake among the businessman and few of its loyal employees. At SM, we planned to build our business with all our partners on the principles of team work, honesty, mutual respect and trust.

We believe that we are a Company comprised of different nature of people but appreciating individual diversity and dedicated to equal opportunity for each and every individual.

SM designs, manufacturers and markets top quality Sports Goods especially all possible quality Cricket Equipment and on every step in that process, we are driven to do, not only, what is required by law but also what is expected from a leader to maintain our commitments towards best practices. We ensure superior value proposition and continuous improvement in:

  • Providing a safe and healthy work place and promoting the health and well being of employees.
  • All fundamental benefits including salary, legally mandated benefits, increments and retirements etc. are solely based on the ability of the employees to do the assigned Job.
  • All employees are trained of their Rights & Obligations as defined by this Code and applicable local laws.
  • At SM there is no discrimination among employees based on caste, creed, gender, marital or maternity status, religious or political beliefs, age or sexual orientation.

While on these principles, we establish at SM the spirit of our partnership, we also bind our partners to specific standards of Conduct; hence the core standards are set forth below:

  • Forced Labour:

    At SM, we do not use forced labour in any form, whatsoever.
  • Child Labour:

    At SM, we do not employ any person below the age of 18 years, and honoring the Universal Legal Age Limits.
  • Compensation:

    At SM, we provide to each employee at least minimum wages and do not deduct from employee pay for disciplinary infractions.
  • Benefits:

    At SM, we provide each employee all legally mandated benefits.
  • Hours of Work / Overtime:

    At SM, we comply with legally mandated work hours, provide one day factory-off in seven days, i.e. on every Sunday, and for overtime every individual employee is fully compensated.
  • Safety & Health:

    At SM, we maintain Safety & Health policy standards and implement a system to reduce work related injury, illness and promote general health of employees.
  • Environment:

    Though, Cricket industry is free from environmental pollution, not harming environmental balance, even then at SM we take all remedial measures under production and take necessary remedial precautions in the same regard. SM endeavors, in its procurement activities, to realize a society that has a Sound environment and is capable of sustainable development.
  • Honest and Ethical Conduct:

    At SM staff & employees are expected to comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations and all applicable policies and procedures adopted by the Company with the highest standard of personal and professional integrity, honesty and ethical conduct.
  • Confidential Information:

    At SM we ensure to secure, preserve, safeguard and use discreetly, confidential information in the best interest of the Company.
  • Related Parties:

    At SM employees are directed to avoid conducting company business in any significant way with a business in which a close relative is associated, without intimation to the Board of Directors.
  • Exclusivity:

    At SM employees are expected to devote their full attention with integrity and honesty to the business interests of the Company. They are prohibited from engaging in any activity that interferes with their proper discharge of responsibilities of the Company, or is in conflict with or prejudicial to the interests of the Company.
